My Year of Darwin: 7/8/2014 Guests? Barf!

 Charles Darwin

"During the first part of our residence we went a little in society, and received few friends here; but my health almost always suffered from the excitement, violent shivering and vomiting attacks being thus brought on" Charles Darwin, Autobiography

Reading through the autobiography he spends several pages introducing us to people he's met, both scientists and writers, that would I imagine, impress people of the time.

After some time bouncing around, he settles in Down and is the last place he'll live.

He becomes, not by choice but by need, withdrawn from society. Perhaps for the better of science.

Watched the routing of Brazil by Germany. That was ugly.
