Field Zoology Week 3: Mammals, Birds, Herps of Jacob's Property

Jacob's Property is a 110 acre wood lot owned by the university between Bear Creek and Blakeslee, PA off HWY 115. 



Monday night we set out small mammal traps in the forest and a field created by a pipeline easement. We also set out a bat-detector that records the frequencies bats use to navigate. We came across a red-spotted newt. Turned dark then headed out.

Tuesday morning we returned and observed

Two-lined Salamander
